PACE Believing In Girls

With over twenty years of experience in providing gender responsive programming, the Institute personnel are experts in assessing existing programs and providing guidance to enhance your level of service. The Institute will:

  • Provide expert analysis of areas of program or agency strengths and areas of development
  • Introduce the Reflective Practice Framework in order to establish a common language
  • Identify immediate needs, focusing on girl and staff safety
  • Identify areas for further growth and development

Using an assessment tool unique to PACE, capacity for gender responsive services for girls is evaluated. The assessment process includes observations of program operations, review of files, and interviews with staff and girls.

Focus groups with staff, girls, and other stakeholders are facilitated. Areas of strength are identified along with areas that need further development, and plans are developed to identify immediate needs. Priorities are agreed upon and communicated.

Areas for further development are identified to serve as the content for a strategic plan on increasing effectiveness in working with girls, and overall excellence within the organization.

The assessment evaluates the capacity of gender and trauma responsive services and makes recommendations for enhancing effectiveness.
